The error code 1222 is related to Main valve....Hi,
The error code 1222 is related to Main valve.

The main valve is intended for enabling the main idraulic functions of the Idraulic unit.

The main solenoid valve is always active with ABS controlled braking. It
switches the accumulator pressure directly to the inlet and outlet solenoid
valves by way of the collars of the brake master cylinder (collar overflow). In
accordance with the lock-up tendency, pressure holding, pressure reduction or
pressure build-up is implemented at the respective wheel brake cylinders by
way of the inlet and outlet solenoid valves.

Malfunctioning may be a stuck valve or a broken electric solenoid circuit of the valve.

SELF-DIAGNOSIS FLASHING CODE 1222:

CHECKINGS to do :

Main valve,
- Ignition off.
- Pull plug off controller.
- Check solenoid valve resistance at
controller plug. X1 term. 11 -> X1 term.18
Set value: 2...5 Ohm

- Check solenoid valves and leads for short to ground/short to positive, open
circuit and loose contacts as per circuit diagram.

- Check contacts of connectors.

NOTE: The ABS is a vehicle safety system.
Work on this system presupposes detailed system knowledge.
Testing may only be performed by trained personnel.

After loosening hydraulic connections, bleed brake system and perform low-
pressure as well as high-pressure test.
Pay attention to special bleeding specification.

You have to contact a skilled and trained personal to do deep diagnosing or
things may go even worse.

FRANK.
FRANK https://www.blogger.com/profile/05899055923323016216noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7089240089080675728.post-71010331833027267492013-09-28T02:41:42.926-07:002013-09-28T02:41:42.926-07:00Hello

Was co very hard and pedal the oil level indicator/hand brake, always connected. Even when the engine works, this light goes on and off every time you brake.
I went to investigate and found that: the mains pressure valve (5 pins) was oxidized.
In addition, also the abs indicator lamp was blown.
I cleaned the plug valve, vacuum problem disappeared, and replaces the abs lamp.
Now whenever brake, continues to show the oil level indicator light/Handbrake (correct oil level), and the abs light comes on. I've done the test and it gives me the error 1222.
Does your experience can help me?
In advance grateful
PS: excuse my English (Translito)A.Lourençonoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7089240089080675728.post-41716992515033319982011-05-07T11:58:01.434-07:002011-05-07T11:58:01.434-07:00The Motor Code PB with Digifant 2 In this car is E...The Motor Code PB with Digifant 2 In this car is EURO 0 norm and is 1.8 Litre 8 Valves.

Wath you've photographed is the Potentiometer from 2.0 Litre motor code 2E (if I'm not wrong)

In PB Motor the same switch acts as minimum and maximum, the firmware in the ECU is "deciding" were the Maximum should be, basing it on motor charge via air flux metering and RPM Interpolated.

To be sure try to get the schematic for the 2.0 Litre version you will see the switch how is acting during running and in the static condition. Before that you should get exact motor code and year of production of the car and if is EURO 0 or EURO 1 or EURO 2 Norm (Important differences)

Remember that Passat B3 is NOT THE SAME AS B4. (Completely different in many ways).FRANK https://www.blogger.com/profile/05899055923323016216noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7089240089080675728.post-89621199188337627122011-05-01T04:44:12.661-07:002011-05-01T04:44:12.661-07:00Hi, i'm looking some information about the thr...Hi, i'm looking some information about the throttle potentiometer and idle/WOT switch integrated sensors.
The 0280120418 / 433 seems to have only the idle switch:
http://img40.imageshack.us/img40/7972/bwqrqcqmkkgrhqvg8ev10cq.jpg
I'd like to know it the PASSAT has the sensor above and if it is a double (idle+WOT) switch + integrated pot unit.
Thanks.franxhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14674357574176521629noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7089240089080675728.post-65405351966374984652011-05-01T04:05:50.374-07:002011-05-01T04:05:50.374-07:00Hi, i'm looking some information about the thr...Hi, i'm looking some information about the throttle potentiometer and idle/WOT switch integrated sensors.
Thanks.franxhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14674357574176521629noreply@blogger.com
